Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo, FUNAI has issued out notice to all freshmen admitted in the 4th batch admission for the 2016/2017 academic session.
This is to inform all the candidates offered provisional admission into the Federal University Ndufu Alike Ikwo (FUNAI) in the 4th batch admission list for the 2016/2017 academic session that they are expected to complete their registration process within two weeks.
Late registration will commence for the above group on Thurs 2nd February 2017.
All concerned should please be guided accordingly.
Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, FUNAI to kick-off its Faculty of Medicine come October 2017.
As part of its academic expansion, the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State is to kick-off its Faculty of Medicine come October 2017. This was hinted by the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Chinedum Nwajiuba during the University Management Meeting held on Monday, 9th January, 2017.
The Vice Chancellor stated that the programme would commence by the 2017/2018 academic session, and stressed the need for the Faculty of Basic Medical Sciences to be properly re-organized to be in tandem with NUC benchmark and as a precursor for the take-off of the Medical programmes.
To press home the commitment of the University to this course, Prof. Nwajiuba immediately constituted a steering committee to champion the swift implementation of all decisions that would lead to the establishment of the new Faculty.
The Committee is headed by the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Prof. Sunday Elom and included the Former Minister of Health, Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, Director of Academic Planning, Prof. Kevin Nwogu, former Chief Medical Director, FETHA, Dr. Paul Ezeonu, Head, Department of Anatomy, Prof. Uche Nwachi and Ag. Director, Health Services, Dr. Henry Aloh as members. Other members of the Steering Committee are the Director of Physical Planning, Works and Services, Dr. A.I Ezeocha, the Head of Legal and General Administration Unit, Barr. Ogochukwu Onuorah, representative of the Bursar and the representative of the Registrar as Secretary.
The Vice Chancellor urged them to swing into action immediately and ensure that the University is fully prepared to host an NUC Resource Verification Team on the programme by March 2017.
When eventually started, the Faculty of Medicine would be the 8th Academic Faculties of the University, and another watershed in the administration of the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Nwajiuba, as he strives to take the University to greater heights.

The management of the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI) , Ebonyi State wishes to inform all their students, their parents and guardians as well as the entire University Community that the 2016/2017 Matriculation ceremony of the University is scheduled to hold on Wednesday, 25th January, 2017.
Unlike previous matriculation ceremonies, Management has decided that this session’s events will be Faculty-based.
Consequently, all Faculties are to organize their respective programmes at approved designated places within the University environment simultaneously.

Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo, FUNAI maiden Convocation Ceremony/Award of Certificates new date.
This is to inform the General Public, especially our prospective graduates, their parents, guardians and friends as well as the staff and students of the University that the maiden Convocation Ceremony/Award of Certificates of the Federal University Ndufu-Alike Ikwo (FUNAI), Ebonyi State, earlier scheduled to hold on November 25th– 26th, 2016 has been shifted to December 19th -20th, 2016.
The new dates for the ceremony was prompted by the clash in the convocation dates with the recently released dates by the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) for persons called up to camp for the 2016 Batch B (which includes our graduating students).
The main activities for the Convocation Ceremony are:
Monday, December 19th, 2016 – Convocation Lecture, to be delivered by the Honourable Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu
Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 – Award of Degree Certificates.
All inconveniences stemming from this change are highly regrettable.
