FUTO Matriculation Ceremony New Date – 2016/17

Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO matriculation ceremony for the 2016/2017 academic session..

This is to inform all the fresh students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) that the authorities of the institution have announced the date for the 2016/2017 matriculation ceremony.

The Federal University of Technology, Owerri will now hold its 2016/2017 Matriculation ceremony on Friday February 24, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Convocation Arena, FUTO.

Please be informed that a meeting of Parents and Guardians of the Matriculating students, that is, Parents Management Forum (PMF) has been scheduled for 10:00 am, same day.

The ceremony will mark the formal admission of prospective 1st year students to pursue various academic disciplines in the University.

As regards to this, all newly admitted candidates are expected to accept their admission offers and complete their registration before Friday February 24, 2017 as the event marks the end of the 2016/2017 admission exercise.

Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO pre-degree programme admission application form for the 2016/2017 academic session is out.

Latest Update: The University community and the public are hereby notified that the application for admission into the pre-degree program for the 2016/2017 academic session has been extended to February 17, 2017.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) Pre-Degree programmes for the 2016/2017 academic session.

CANDIDATES ELIGIBLE FOR FUTO PRE-DEGREE.

1. Interested candidates must possess at least five O’level credit in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Agricultural Science.

2. Must have registered or intend to registered for the 2017 UTME.

AMOUNT PER FUTO PRE-DEGREE FORM.

Each FUTO pre-degree application form goes for ₦10,000 ( Ten Thousand Naira only).

HOW TO APPLY FOR FUTO PRE-DEGREE FORM.

Candidates are advised to apply on-line following the procedure given below:

Step 1: Go to the FUTO Website – www.futo.edu.ng

Step 2: Click on Prospective Students.

Step 3: Go to 2016/2017 Pre Degree Application Form

Step 5: Click on generate 2016/2017 Pre Degree Application Invoice

Step 6: Enter your Mobile Number

Step 7: Click on Fill other required details

Step 8: Print your invoice containing your RRR number (Remita Retrieval Reference) and proceed to any bank for payment

Step 9: After successful payment in bank, return to the portal

Step 10: Click on Fill 2016/2017 Pre Degree Application

Step 11: Enter your phone number again and click on Apply.

Step12: Proceed with the completion of the Application form.

Step 13: Print your application Acknowledgment slip

Step 14: Await for the Pre-Degree Admission announcement from the University.

DURATION OF SALES OF FUTO-PRE-DEGREE FORM.

The closing date for online submission of completed application forms is February 17, 2017.

FUTO Returning Students Registration Procedure – 2016/2017

Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO has released it's returning students procedure for the 2016/2017 academic session.

This is to inform all the returning students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) that the management of the institution has released the registration procedure for the 2016/2017 academic session.

FUTO RETURNING STUDENTS REGISTRATION PROCEDURE.

A. STUDENT PORTAL ACCOUNT VERIFICATION.

• Visit the University website; www.futo.edu.ng
• Click on the link “Portal”
• Click on verify your account link to create login details.
• Select “student type” then enter your Matriculation number.
• Click on submit button to verify your account
• Get the Account Notification slip bearing your login details with the Matriculation number as the default username and password

B. PROFILE DETAILS

i. Change password

• Enter your username and password and click on the Login button.
• Click on change password to change your password.
• Enter the old password and the new password, confirm new password.
• Click change password button.

ii. Fill Profile

• Click the profile details menu and selects the fill the profile details menu
• Complete the profile and click the Submit Button
• Ensure you Update your Level to the current Level
• Print the Student profile information page

C. SCHOOL FEES PAYMENT PROCESS

• Login to the portal with your username and password
• Click on “Pay School fees” to generate your payment invoice
• Select the required session and level for payment
• Print your payment invoice contain the RRR code and proceed to any bank for payment.
• After successful payment in bank, return to the portal www.portal.futo.edu.ng and login with your account details to print FUTO school fees e-receipt with the RRR code on the invoice.

i. Online School fees eReceipt

• Click the “Pay School Fees” menu
• Enter the required payment details
• Print the School Fees Receipt

D. HOSTEL ALLOCATION

• Click the hostel allocation menu
• Click on “Generate Hotel reservation”
• Enter the required details
• Select the Hostel type
• Generate Hostel Allocation payment invoice
• Proceed to FUTO MFB for payment with the generated payment invoice.
• After successful payment in bank, return to the portal with the ePin generated in bank.
• Click on “Print Hostel reservation receipt” to print the allocated ROOM.
• Print the allocated room on the receipt and proceed to Student Affairs Unit further clearance.

E. COURSE REGISTRATION

• Click the course registration menu and select the Register Courses menu.
• Select the session and semester and click the submit button.
• Select your courses for that semester and click the submit button, Print the registered courses

F. RESULTS

• Click the Result menu and select the view result menu.
• Select the semester and session and click the submit button
• Print the online semester result slip.

G. SIGN OUT

• Click the close menu, this takes you back to Login page.

Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO, has released it's 2016/2017 Supplementary Admission List.

This is to inform all candidates that participated in the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) supplementary admission screening exercise that the list of successful candidates offered provisional admission into various degree programmes in the institution for the 2016/2017 academic session is out.

Candidates are to log on to the admission portal to check admission status.

2. Enter JAMB Reg Number in the box provided
3. Click on the submit button to view admission status

Admitted Students Are to proceed to the JAMB website for Change of Institution.

Candidates admitted into Mechatronics Engineering Department should apply for Mechanical Engineering while those who were admitted into Dental Technology should apply for Biomedical Technology. 

Other admitted candidates should apply to the departments they have been offered admission. Affected candidates are required to apply to JAMB on or before Monday, 28th November, 2016

FUTO Final Year Student Builds Solar-Powered Keke NAPEP [PHOTOS]

A final year student of Electrical Engineering, Federal University of Technology, (FUTO), Owerri, Ekomobong Finbarr, has constructed and defended a solar powered tricycle (Keke) as his first degree project.

Aniekeme Finbarr Ukpong, his brother, announced the successful completion and defense of the project.

The tricycle which has no engine, but just battery and the solar system can go 11km without any hiccups.

Federal University of Technology, Owerri, FUTO has released its supplementary admission form for the 2016/2017 academic session which is out. This is for candidates that didn’t choose FUTO.

The management of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) hereby invites the underlisted group of candidates to apply online for the 2016/2017 supplementary admission form:

Interested candidates who did not make FUTO their choice of University in the 2016/2017 UTME but desire admission into FUTO.

Candidates who chose FUTO but are yet to register for screening.

HOW TO APPLY FOR FUTO SUPPLEMENTARY ADMISSION.

i) Visit the University Website ‘www.futo.edu.ng’

ii) Click on ‘Prospective Students’

iii) Click on ‘Supplementary Application’

iv) Click on the link ‘Candidates that did not chose FUTO as their first choice but wish to apply can click on this link’

v) Enter your JAMB registration number to generate payment invoice.

vi) Print your invoice and proceed to any bank to pay a non-refundable fee of N12,500.00 using your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code on the invoice

vii) After successful payment return to the portal

viii) Enter your JAMB registration number to complete the supplementary application form Online.

ix) Print out your “Acknowledgement Slip”.

Registration commences on Wednesday 26th October, 2016 and closes on Wednesday 2nd November, 2016.
