This is to inform the general public that the University of Lagos (UNILAG) Institute of Continuing Education (ICE) 2017/2018 academic session admission exercise is on.

UNILAG INSTITUTE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION ADMISSION – ENTRY REQUIREMENTS.

A. FACULTY OF ARTS
All candidates who possess five credits (5) passes in relevant O’ Level subjects including English and Mathematics at not more than TWO sittings and not less than 21 years of age are eligible to apply.

B. FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES (MASS COMMUNICATION)

5 Year Programme
Five (5) credits passes in O’Level subjects including English Language, Mathematics and Literature in English and any other two (2) credit passes from any other discipline at not more than Two Sittings

4 Year Programme
Diploma Certificate in Mass Communication from University of Lagos or from other accredited University recognized by the Senate of the University of Lagos with a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.00 and above on a 5 point scale; and also fulfilled the requirements in (1) above.

3 Year Programme
HND in Mass Communication from accredited Polytechnics and Monotechnics at credit pass with 2- year Post HND professional experience. The candidate must be registered member of relevant Regulatory Agencies and/or Professional Bodies such as APCON, NIPR, NUJ, etc. The candidate must similarly satisfy the requirements in (1) above.

UNILAG INSTITUTE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION ADMISSION – METHOD OF APPLICATION.

Application forms are obtainable online via the University of Lagos website, http://www.unilag.edu.ng, using ATM/Cash/Dedicated Teller obtainable on payment of a non-refundable fee of Fifteen Thousand Naira (N15, 000.00) only paid into any Bank within the campus using the Treasury Single Account (TSA) via Remita Platform.

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION FORMS AND ENTRANCE EXAMINATIONS

Completed application form should be submitted online and a hard copy with colour print should be submitted to the Faculty of Arts Programme Office Room 634 and the Department of Mass Communication Programme Office respectively.

UNIUYO PRE-DEGREE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS.
Candidates must possess credit pass in at least five (5) “O” level subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Agricultural Science is accepted in place of Biology for Agricultural Science Education and Agriculture candidates only), at not more than two sittings in the SSCE (WAEC/NECO, GCE or NABTEB).
Candidates seeking admission into programmes in the Faculty of Agriculture should possess at least five (5) “O” Level Credit passes in NECO, WASC/GCE including Chemistry, Biology or Agricultural Science, Mathematics, English Language and any one of Economics, Geography or Physics. At least a Pass in Physics is acceptable.
Candidates for admission into Agricultural Science Education must possess five (5) “O” Level credit passes in English Language, Chemistry, Biology (or Agricultural Science), Mathematics and any other subject.
Candidates for admission into Home Economics Education should possess five “O” Level Credit passes in English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and any other subject.

NOTE: JAMB score is not required for admission into this programme.

MAJOR COURSE REQUIREMENT

All successful candidates will be required to register for and take the 2018 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) into programmes of their choices from the list provided in A to C above.

HOW TO APPLY FOR UNIUYO PRE-DEGREE ADMISSION.

Eligible candidates should pay a non-refundable deposit in the sum of N10,500.00 (ten thousand five hundred naira) only via Remita Payment Platform

  8. After payment return to the online portal and click on Register Link to complete your registration.

Note: 
  1. The same passport photograph used for the online registration will be used during the screening exercise and for registration after the offer of admission.
  2. No complaint of wrong Bio-Data or blank photograph will be entertained after submission.
  3. Candidates who up-load wrong bio-data will automatically be disqualified.

Candidates are required to come for the screening exercise with the following items:
One (1) copy of the University of Uyo 2017 ONLINE registration form dully completed with the passport-size photograph printed in color.
Note: Only colour printout will be accepted.
Two (2) recent passport-size photographs on red background (same photograph as the one used for the online registration) with the name and signature of the candidate on the reverse side of the photographs. These should be packaged in a quarto-size envelope and labeled with the candidate’s name and department.
HB pencil, eraser and sharpener.

No GSM handsets;, calculators, four-figure tables or any other extraneous materials should be brought into the screening halls.

BUK 2017/2018 Postgraduate Admission Form Out


Bayero University, Kano, BUK has released it's Postgraduate application forms for the 2017/2018 academic session which is now on sale. 
Note: The application form is Ten Thousand Five Hundred Naira (N10,500.00).

The Authorities of the Bayero University, Kano (BUK) invite applications from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the university various postgraduate programmes for the 2017/2018 academic session.


BUK POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

1. Candidates for admission into Ph.D/M.Phil programmes shall have M.A, M.Ed., M.Sc, M.Eng. or LLM Degrees in the relevant areas with CGPA of at least 3.50 on a scale of 0.00 to 5.00 from Bayero University, Kano or any other recognised University.

2. Candidates for admission into M.A, M.Ed, M.Sc (Ed), MLS, M.Sc., M.Eng. and LLM programmes shall have:
i. A minimum of a Good Second Class Lower Degree in the relevant areas from Bayero University, Kano or any other recognised University.
ii. A Degree plus University Postgraduate Diploma at Credit level in the relevant areas from Bayero University, Kano or any other recognised University.
iii. For all Engineering programmes, candidates must have Credit in English, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.

3. Candidates for admission into MBA (Regular), MBF, MHE and MTM should have:
i. A minimum of a Good Second Class Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Management, Economics, Banking and Finance from Bayero University, Kano or any other recognized University.
ii. A Degree or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit plus University Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum of Merit in the relevant areas from Bayero University, Kano or any other recognized University

4. Candidates for admission into MBA (Special) should have a minimum of a Good Second Class Degree in any discipline from BUK or any other recognized University.

5. Candidates for admission into MHR should have a degree in Medicine, Nursing and Biological Science of Bayero University, Kano or any other recognised University.

6. Candidates for admission into MDS, MPPA, MEM, MCMP shall have:
i. A Good Honours Degree with at least Second Class Lower in the relevant areas from Bayero University, Kano or any other recognized University.
ii. A Degree or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit plus a Postgraduate Diploma with a minimum classification of Merit in the relevant areas from Bayero University, Kano.

7. Candidates for admission into MBCL shall possess:
i. A minimum of a Good Second Class Degree in Law or the Social Sciences from Bayero University, Kano or any other recognized University
ii. A Degree in Law or the Social Sciences plus University Postgraduate Diploma with minimum classification of Merit from Bayero University, Kano or any other recognized University.

8. Candidates for admission into PGDM, PGDBF, PGDHE, PGDPPA, PGDSPA, PGDCMPC, PGDMC, PGDDS, PGDE, PGDGC, PGDRTM, PGDHE, PGDDA and PGDIM shall possess a Degree in any discipline from BUK or any other recognized University or HND with a minimum classification of Lower Credit obtained from recognized Institutions.

9. Candidates for admission into PGDEM, PGDLA and PGDSE, shall possess a Degree in Geography, Environmental Sciences, Agriculture and related disciplines or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit in the related disciplines.

10. Candidates for admission into PGDAF shall hold a Degree in Accounting or related disciplines obtained from a recognized University or HND with a minimum classification of Lower Credit in Accounting or related disciplines obtained from recognized Institutions.

11. Candidates for admission into PGDTESL must have at least a 3rd class Degree in English or combined honours.

12. Candidates for admission into PGDHS should have at least a 3rd class Degree in Hausa or combined honours or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant areas obtained from recognized Institutions.

13. Candidates for admission into PGDBS, PGDC and PGDIP shall have a Degree in the relevant Science subjects or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant areas obtained from recognized Institutions.

14. Candidates for admission into PGDEE, PGDCE and PGDME shall have a Degree in the relevant Engineering areas or HND with a minimum of Lower Credit in the relevant engineering areas obtained from recognized Institutions.

15. Candidates for admission into Masters in Public Health must:
i. Have MBBS or BDS degree of Bayero University, Kano or an equivalent Medical Degree from a recognised University.
ii. Be registered with the Nigerian Medical and Dental Council and posses a current practicing license.
iii. Have at least three years post qualification cognate experience in Medicine or health related area at Federal, State or Local Government Area levels. Those employed in non-governmental organisations, engaged in occupational health services as well as those in the private sector are also eligible.

NOTE: All candidates for admission into Ph.D, M.Phil, M.A, M.Ed, M.Sc, M.Eng and LLM Programmes must provide records of their Academic Transcripts.


HOW TO APPLY FOR BUK POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION.

The cost of each application is Ten Thousand Naira (N10,000.00) only, plus administrative charges of Five Hundred Naira (N500.00) only.

Step 1: Visit www.buk.edu.ng and under the PROSPECTIVE STUDENT TAB click Applications at the home page. Login using FULL NAME OF THE APPLICANT and select “Applying for a Postgraduate Programme”. A username and password will be generated for you. Please take careful note of them, as you need them for subsequent steps of the application process.

Step 2: Login to your account and generate/print your BUK Personalised Payment Form (BUKPPF). Anon-refundable application fee ofN10,500:00 (Ten Thousand Five Hundred Naira Only) is reflected on applicant’s BUKPPF, to be paid using Remita e-Payments and e-Collection platform (www.remita.net). Applicants must make sure that they entered ALL the information of the BUKPPF EXACTLY.

Step 3: Return to www.buk.edu.ng and login with your username and password to fill in the Application Forms; Programme Selection Form, Personal Data Form, Qualifications Form.

Step 4: Transcript Request Form shall also be filled by candidates for Ph.D, M.Phil and Academic Masters’ Programmes in addition to the forms listed in Step 3 above

Step 5: Review your forms to ensure accuracy of all information provided. Click ‘SUBMIT’ to complete the application process.

Step 6: An Acknowledgement Slip will be generated for you immediately. Print the Slip and keep it safe. The slip will be needed during the collection of admission letter and during registration.

BUK POSTGRADUATE ADMISSION FORM CLOSING DATE.

Payment at the bank opens on Wednesday 10th May, 2017 and closes on Friday, 25th August, 2017. The website for completing the Application Forms will close by 11:59PM on Sunday, 27th August, 2017.

University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN School of Postgraduate Studies orientation programme for postgraduate students admitted in 2016/2017 academic session.

UNIBEN Postgraduate Admission Application Form – 2017/2018

University of Benin, UNIBEN postgraduate programmes admission application form for the 2017/2018 academic session is out.

Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to the University of Benin (UNIBEN) postgraduate programmes admission for the 2017/2018 academic session. The postgraduate programmes lead to the award of Postgraduate Diploma, Masters degree and Ph.D in the various Faculties/Schools/Institutes of the University of Benin.


UNIBEN POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES GENERAL ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS.

I. A Candidate for postgraduate studies in the university of Benin must have obtained at least five (5) credits in WASC, NECO, GCE (ordinary level or their equivalents,) A credit pass in Maths and English is required. 

II. Four credits of Ordinary level plus OND (not pass), NCE, IJMB or Advance level passes.

III. A holder of a Pass (Degree/Diploma) is not qualified for admission into the postgraduate programme of the University of Benin. In addition, all holders of 3rd class degree must possess PGD to be considered for admission into the Masters programmes.

IV. Candidates who obtained Masters degree but with Weighted Average Score (WAS) between 55.0-59% can only be considered for admission into the M.Phil programme in the first instance.

V. A candidate applying for the Ph.D in any programme of the University of Benin must have obtained a weighted average score of 60% or letter grade ‘B’ average in the Masters degree.

VI. A candidate applying for the PhD with a Master’s degree from any other University who in his/her Master’s study has not previously taken the compulsory courses or their equivalents similar to the ones in the University of Benin shall on admission be required to offer and pass such courses with a minimum of 60% or letter grade ‘B’.

VII. Only students who have the NYSC discharge, exemption or exclusion certificate can be allowed to clear into the different courses.

TRANSCRIPTS

Candidates should request their former Universities/Institutions to forward their academic transcript(s) to the “Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies”, to reach him not later than 8 weeks from the date of this publication.

Applications of candidates whose transcripts are not forwarded to the school shall not be processed.

Referees Reports

Candidates should request their referees to mail reports on them directly to postgrad@uniben.edu.ng. or the Secretary, School of Postgraduate Studies. Applications shall not be processed unless the referee reports are available. Note: students are advised to always check the 
address/telephone when applying.

UNIBEN POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES ADMISSION METHOD OF APPLICATION.

Candidates are to purchase application forms online with valid VERVE OR MASTER ATM BANK CARD from any commercial bank in Nigeria for the sum of N12,050.00.

The Application form must be correctly filled with all information required before submitting online and thereafter printed out from the UNIBEN WAEUP PORTAL LINK @ https://uniben.waeup.org.

Click on REGISTER FOR APPLICATION after reading instructions on the page.

The following documents will be printed out from the Website:- application, referee, and Transcript request forms. Any form not properly filled will not be treated. 

All application processes must be completed by Tuesday, 30th May, 2017.

Only candidate given admission into the various Pg programmes are to proceed to pay the total amount of Non-Refundable Acceptance fees itemised below.
