ABOUT AGBAMI SCHOLARSHIP.

Star Deep Water Petroleum Limited, a Chevron company and operator of the Agbami Field, in its continuous support for capacity building in the Health and Engineering sectors as a strategic feed into the national manpower pool, is offering a number of University Scholarships to qualified Nigerian students from ALL states of the Federation.

The scholarship program, funded by Star Deep and its Agbami partners, is a major component of the Agbami partners’ Social Investment in the strategic development of Health and Education in Nigeria and the Niger Delta in particular.


AGBAMI SCHOLARSHIP AWARD – REQUIREMENTS / ELIGIBILITY.
Applications are invited from FULL-TIME, 100 and 200 level undergraduates from any state of the Federation, studying any of the under listed courses in universities within Nigeria:

HOW TO APPLY FOR AGBAMI SCHOLARSHIP.
Application is open to full-time 100 or 200 level students admitted during 2016/2017 or 2015/2016 academic session only.
Before you start this application, ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents
Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)
School ID card
Admission Letter
Birth Certificate
O’ Level Result
JAMB Result
Local Government Area Letter of Identification
Ensure the documents are named according to what they represent to avoid mixing up documents during upload
Ensure you attach the appropriate documents when asked to upload 

To apply, follow the steps below

  1. Visit http://scholastica.ng/schemes/agbami and click on “Apply Now” tab.
  2. Click on “Register Now” to create an account. 
  3. Proceed to your email box to activate your account
  4. Click on www.scholastica.ng/Schemes/Agbami to return to Scholarship site
  5. Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
  6. Enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, other information and upload required scanned documents.
  7. Ensure the name used in applications matches the names on all documentation in same order. Upload a sworn affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
  8. Ensure you view all documents after uploading, to eliminate errors during uploading.
  9. When asked to upload photo, upload a pass-port photograph with a white background.
  10. Recheck application information to avoid errors
  11. Click “Apply Now” to submit information
  12. You will receive an email and a sms that confirms your application was successful.
  13. Return to www.scholastica.ng, enter your Email and Password to download your profile and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
  14. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification.
  15. If National Identification Number (NIN) number was not available in step 6 , to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN)
  • Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the National Identity Number 
  • Click “Create Account” and fill in the required fields 
  • Login with Email and Password to complete the form 
  • After completion, schedule a date for photo and finger print capture 
  • Visit any of the 37 capture centres www.nimc.gov.ng/pages/general/enrolmentcentres.htm to complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number 
  • You can also do your total registration at the NIMC office 

16. Return to www.scholastica.ng/Schemes/Agbami and update application with National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion

Note: Multiple applications attract a disqualification penalty.

Please note that applicants for the Agbami scholarship are ineligible to apply for any other scholarship program sponsored by “STAR” or any of its Co-venturers, including the NNPC/CNL JV scholarship program published simultaneously with the Agbami scholarship program

Selected students will be invited for computer-administered qualifying tests in selected examination centers nationwide. Short-listed candidates for the qualifying test will be invited by email and SMS text messages. All applicants are therefore advised to ensure that valid GSM telephone numbers and personal email addresses are properly entered into the e-forms on the web site.

a) BEFORE RESUMPTION

All admitted candidates should ensure that they adhere to the following pre-resumption instructions:
  • Check the University website www.uam.edu.ng to confirm that your name is on the admission list and Department/Programme of Study you are admitted to study in the University.

Payment Options for Fees/Charges

Students have three payment options. The options are
  • Internet Banking: Go to the University website and follow the instruction on our website to make your payment on the portal using your bank ATM card.
  • Mobile Banking: Use your ATM card on a mobile device (i.e. internet ready handset, ipad, etc) on the portal fees.uam.edu.ng/epay to pay your fees/charges. Follow the instruction at www.uam.edu.ng
  • Bank Branch: Go to any branch (nation-wide) of any Commercial Bank to pay the fees.

a) ON ARRIVAL

Registration Guidelines for Newly Admitted Students

  1. Use any of the three Fees/charges payment option by either going to the participating Banks or use your ATM card for our Internet Banking or mobile banking to pay N15,000 as Acceptance Fee (You will be given a Pin Number on a Receipt printout. You will be required to use this PIN to get your admission details).
  2. Go to the University portal (entry.uam.edu.ng/go) and use the Pin to printout your Acceptance Letter and Letter of Offer of Provisional Admission.
  3. Sign a copy of the Acceptance Letter and take along with you all your original certificates and two passport copies to Postgraduate School (In North core) for verification (You are advised to clear with the Post Graduate School before proceeding to the Bank to pay school fees and charges).
  4. Proceed to ICT Directorate (South Core) for a Passport Photograph that will be uploaded to the University Portal
  5. If the Postgraduate School certifies your certificates and qualifications for the Degree/Diploma programme you are being admitted into, then proceed to the participating banks to pay your School Charges.
  6. After paying the mandatory school charges/fees, proceed to your Department to confirm the courses you will be offering this semester.
  7. Return back to ICT to register online and printout your Student Data form and Registration form. Note that online registration is complete only when you click Submit.


Check-List of Items to Bring for Clearance and Verification

Before coming for submission of registration details, make sure you come along with the following Items:
  • Signed copy of Acceptance of Offer of Provisional Admission from the Portal
  • Printed copy of Letter of Provisional Admission from the Portal
  • Original and photocopy of Birth Certificate
  • Original and photocopy of O Level Certificates/Statement of Results, Degrees and Diploma
  • Two copies of passport photograph
  • Certificate of Indigeneship from your Local Government (for Nigerians)


Confirmation of Registration

Once you fill your forms online and click submit, pay your school fees after you have screened online,go to portal.uam.edu.ng and do your course registration on the portal using your Application Number as Username and PIN as password on your payment slip to print the approved registration forms.

All printed registration forms must be duly signed by appropriate Head of Department, Dean of College and Dean, Postgraduate School for completeness of the registration process. Such signed registration forms must be submitted in the aforementioned officers for documentation.

A Receipt which contains a Receipt Number and Confirmation Order Number will be given to you at the Bank. (Please note that Bank charges apply and must be paid). Alternatively, you can also pay the application fee through Interswitch Webpay Platform using your ATM or Debit Card.
  2. Go to OAUCDL website: (www.oaucdl.edu.ng) and Click on: “JUPEB Programme” and read the Instruction carefully. Create your account by clicking on “Apply Now!”. You are to supply valid username, password, email address and other required information.
  3. After creating the Account, login back into your Account with your username and password.
  4. Click on your preferred Payment Method (either e-tranzact or Interswitch Webpay).
  5. Fill the online Application Form and upload your recent passport photograph. The passport photograph must meet the following specifications:
  • The passport photograph must be coloured with white background (Black and white photograph is not acceptable).
  • The passport must be recent (not earlier than 3 Months before the time of the application) and the size should not be more than 100KB.
  1. After filling the form, logout and keep your username and password safe. (Save your Username and Password on your Phone so as not to forget).

NYSC Batch ‘A’ Online Registration Guide & Requirements – 2017

This is to inform all prospective corps members, i.e. Nigerians who have graduated from Universities and Mono/Polytechnics both at home and abroad that the NYSC On-line registration portal will be opened from Monday 17th April to Thursday 4th May, 2017 to enable them register for the 2017 Batch ‘A’ mobilization.

NYSC ONLINE REGISTRATION PROCEDURE AND REQUIREMENTS.

In order to ensure a seamless registration, prospective corps members are to note the following for strict compliance: 

  1. The Website address is any of the following:
    1. www.nysc.gov.ng
    2. www.nysc.org.ng
    3. www.portal.nysc.org.ng
  2. Prospective Corps members should ensure that they have functional e-mail addresses that they can access and Nigerian (GSM) telephone numbers with which to register.
  3. Locally trained prospective Corps members are expected to use correct Matriculation numbers to register
  4. For locally-trained graduates, only those whose names appear in the Senate/Academic Board Approved Result lists submitted by their Institutions will have access to the register on the NYSC portal.
  5. Foreign-trained prospective corps members should ensure that their Institutions are accredited. Where in doubt, it is their responsibility to approach Federal Ministry of Education for verification. The letter of verification must be uploaded during registration.
  6. Those who graduated from Institutions outside Nigeria, (Foreign-trained graduates), are to visit the NYSC portal, register and upload the following documents:
    1. West African School Certificate(WASC) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or General Certificate of Education (GCE O’ Level) (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or NECO (with not less than 5 Credits at 2 sittings) or its equivalent; or High School Diploma or its equivalent.
    2. First Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) Certificate (Second Degree or Ph.D not necessary).
    3. Transcript of the first Degree or HND.
    4. International travelling Passport showing data page and date of departure for the course of study.
  7. It is the responsibility of the prospective corps members who studied in non-English speaking countries to get their Certificates and Transcripts translated into English language before uploading.
  8. All graduates of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Physiotheraphy, Radiology, Optometry, Medical Laboratory Science and Pharmacy are expected to have their Certificates of Registration with their professional bodies. Payment receipts are not acceptable.
  9. Unlike in the past, Foreign-trained graduates should NOT visit NYSC Headquarters, Abuja for verification of their documents. This exercise will now be done at the Orientation Camps. They should simply print their call-up letters on-line and report at the Orientation camps in their States of deployment, but should come to the camp with the original documents they uploaded for verification.
  10. Anybody who presents any fake document will be demobilized and decamped.
  11. Prospective corps members should ensure that Passport photographs used meet the following specifications:
    1. Ensure your face (eyes, nose, ears, mouth and jaw) is fully shown without bending
    2. Ensure the picture fills the frame and centralized
    3. Ensure the Photo background is white or off-white with no shadow.
  12. On no account should prospective corps members register by PROXY. They should also remember the fingers used for their biometric capturing as these will be used for verification at the orientation camps. Those who cannot be verified with their biometric at the orientation camp will not be registered.
  13. Only prospective corps members who want their call-up numbers sent to them through SMS and wish to PRINT their call-up letters on-line are expected to pay the sum of Three Thousand Naira (N3,000.00) (see NYSC Portal on how to make payment).
  14. Prospective Corps members who do not want to pay the N3,000.00 have the option of going to their schools to collect their call-up numbers and call-up letters.
  15. All prospective corps members who paid for the online registration before but were not mobilized need not pay again.
  16. Married female prospective corps members (whether locally or foreign-trained) should upload copies of their marriage Certificates, evidence of Change of name and their husbands’ place of domicile during registration.
  17. The orientation camp is highly not ideal for pregnant and nursing mothers. Prospective corps members in this categoriy are therefore to note that they will not be accommodated.

Department of Nursing Science

Degree Offered: BNSc. (Hons.) Nursing Science
Requirements: 5 credits in English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics. For Direct Entry students, a candidate is required to: (1) be a Registered Nurse (RN) with the N&MCN. In addition, possession of at least one post-RN certificate e.g. Registered Midwife (RM), Registered Public Health Nurse (RPHN) and Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) would be an advantage. (2) Possess satisfactory result at the SSCE or its equivalent in five subjects at not more than two sittings, which must include English Language, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics. (3) Submit official transcript of all the nursing programs to be used for the admission. (4) Submit current license from the N&MCN at least 6-9 months expiry duration. (5) Produce letter of reference from three people which may include the current employer.

Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB has released a list of it's CBT centers approved for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration.

This is to inform all the candidates intending to register for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) that the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the list of recommended centres for registration.

In line with the Board’s regulated registration exercise, only the accredited Computer Based Test Centres and JAMB States and FCT Offices will be allowed to register candidates.

This is to avoid exploitation, off-line registration, mismatch of candidates’ particulars and other registration-irregularities.
